Football and all its wonder continues to be spread across hundreds of schools across Perth, thanks to the hard working Community Department at Perth Glory FC.

More than a thousand rising stars registered with the Community Department’s TEN programs in term three.

Right now more than five thousand participants have enjoyed a taste of the “World Game” within Perth Glory’s expanding Primary School clinics.

Young Perth Glory FC stars Jack Clisby knows only too well about the importance of learning and playing the game at a young age.

“I’m thrilled for the boys, absolutely over the moon. I know first-hand from mine and Rizzo’s (Josh Risdon) involvement in the Soccer Schools and Glory Skills, the hard work by the coaching staff is aimed at providing the best experience for the kids when they’re with the Glory.”

“I did similar clinics when I was growing up in Perth but none came anywhere near the quality that the Community is regularly producing nowadays.”

Former Perth Glory FC player and Senior Community and Development Officer, Michael Garcia has also been impressed by the number of youngsters showing great skill in the game.

“It’s fantastic to get the Perth Glory FC players involved in our Community Department, the ultimate objective is always for the juniors to learn and have as much fun as possible in the process. So it brings a massive smile to my face knowing how much the Glory players have enjoyed themselves too!”

The Community Department is gearing up to even greater heights for the October School Holidays and the start of the Hyundai A-League season.

Before the A League season starts we are encouraging all the junior players and Glory fans to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount of $120 and enjoy two days of fun-filled football, as well as signed giveaways, Soccer Schools t shirt, playing and training with our Perth Glory players and receiving a child’s general admission ticket to a Perth Glory game in season 2014/15
