Everyone associated with Perth Glory was deeply saddened to hear the news that the club’s original kit man and long-serving backroom-staff member, Wynnie Russell, passed away late last week, aged 80.
His contribution to Glory over a period of more than 20 years was marked by a minute’s applause ahead of Sunday’s Grand Final at Optus Stadium.
Wynnie’s funeral will take place at at Pinnaroo Chapel and Cemetery, Whitfords Avenue, Padbury at 2pm on Thursday 30 May and all are welcome to attend.
