Perth Glory Youth will play Gold Coast United on Saturday in the Grand Final for the National Youth Championship at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne. Here are the declarations of Perth Glory Chief Executive Paul Kelly:

“It-s a momentous occasion for the club. It-s the first time we-ve been in a final since the Hyundai A-League begun albeit with the Youth team who have done extremely well this season. This is a really proud moment for the Perth Glory Football club.

It-s a final and we-ve got a sniff of some silverware which would look great in our trophy cabinet, so of course it-s about winning without a doubt. These boys have played hard all year, the coaching staff has contributed extremely well and now it comes down to this, the Grand Final.

“It-s part of their education, they are professional football players, some of them will go on, some of them won-t but this will be a big day in their development.

“It-s a fantastic sponsorship and indicative of where the club wants to go and where we are going. The relationship with China through GNS is going to be hugely advantageous to the club as a whole, so that-s really exciting and let-s hope a wonderful week for the club finishes with a trophy.”
