Perth Glory FC can confirm former club captain Jacob Burns has been appointed Football Operations Manager, absorbing all operational aspects of outgoing Operations Manager and former player Ante Kovacevic.
Burns was appointed as the club’s General Manager of Football following his retirement at the end of the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season and has played a leading role in youth development, player management, player research and football staff recruitment.
He will absorb all key roles and responsibilities performed by Kovacevic which included player welfare and team management.
Kovacevic, who played 32 games for Glory between 2005-2007, has been appointed General Manager of Football at Adelaide United.
