It’s with great pleasure that major sponsor QBE Insurance is proud to launch a new 30-second TV commercial featuring the players of Perth Glory in a real-life scenario.
Perth Glory players Jacob Burns, Naum Sekulovski, Victor Sikora, Tando Velaphi and Adriano Pellegrino feature in the commercial which entertains viewers with dazzling football skills, while saving the day as a handbrake is left off a parked car and starts to roll down a suburban hill. The message that “You can-t always be on the ball, but you can count on our team at QBE” highlights the enduring partnership between QBE and Perth Glory and is one step ahead of the anticipated hype of the upcoming World Cup.
Filming commenced on 7th December 2009 after Perth Glory’s home match against the Brisbane Roar and players arrived early on set for a full day of filming. Naum’s scissor kick is one of many highlight’s, with Tando’s diving header and Jacob Burns’ kick between two cars worthy mentions.
