Perth Glory FC striker Andy Keogh is confident the team’s winning momentum can continue when the Western Australians take on Western Sydney Wanderers in Parramatta on Friday night.

The team heads into the match on the back of a five-game winning streak after beating Brisbane Roar 6-3 on Saturday, and the Irish striker believes the team can keep on winning.

“It was a good result and we deserved it. We played well and the fans seemed to enjoy it as well. I think we’ve proven that we can beat anyone, anywhere. It’s a great league, great teams. We’ve got some good form so hopefully we can continue that.

“The team puts a great effort in every time. The fact that we had six different scorers on Saturday is great for team morale as well as a great spectacle for the fans.”

Since his return to the club, Andy Keogh has been part of a solid attacking trio with Diego Castro and Chris Harold. The Irishman was quick to praise his attacking partners, while also giving due credit to the defensive unit.

“We’ve got a good blend of different players,we seem to be working well. Castro’s doing great, Chrissy (Harold) is coming on leaps and bounds now. We’ve got a solid defensive unit behind us, which gives a bit more freedom as well.

“We work hard for each other. You can’t have all that freedom going forward without defensive duties, we work hard together and it’s paying off at the minute.”

Keogh also credits team chemistry as a factor on the recent success of the team.

“We’re just going about our business as usual, getting closer as a group, new faces coming in, integrating together, but we’re happy and I think it shows on the pitch as well.”

The club will look to extend its winning streak to six games on Friday away to ladder leaders Western Sydney Wanderers.

Kick-off for the match is 4:40pm AWST broadcast on Fox Sports 505, SBS 2 and ABC Grandstand.
