Born in Manchester, England, Alex Grant spent time in the Portsmouth youth academy from 2010-2013. He moved to Stoke City in 2013 and was loaned out to Mcclesfield Town in 2014-15. After a successful loan stint, which included 25 league appearances and two goals, he moved to Perth, signing with Glory in June of 2015.
Grant made his A-League debut on 1 November, playing 32 minutes as a 2nd half subsititute against Western Sydney Wanderers.
