Glory Owner and Chairman Tony Sage discusses the latest developments regarding COVID-19 and its impact upon Glory’s season:

“It is a very strange feeling and I am personally very saddened to be writing this knowing that none of our loyal Glory members and fans will be able to attend this weekend’s game in person.

Ultimately, we are following the Federal Government’s edict to be keep everyone healthy and safe by restricting gatherings of more than 500 people which the FFA has endorsed.

Unfortunately, as you all know, this has also affected all sports and even conferences right  across Australia.

Obviously these are unprecedented times and I just ask that all our corporates, sponsors, members and fans bear with us as we attempt to find the best way to deal with the extraordinary challenges that now exist throughout the entire world.

Moving to on-field matters, it was great to see us picking up a valuable and deserved point away at Sydney FC last weekend.

I’m sure the players will have drawn a lot of confidence from that performance and I’m sure we can get the better of Western United on the weekend.

Thank you for the overwhelming support I have already received and I hope you will all be watching the lads on Fox Sports or listening to the radio coverage.”
