As we look forward to a healthy and happy 2012, the players reveal their highlights from the year that was 2011

1.Danny Vukovic

Coming back from 2-nil down with 10 men against the Melbourne Victory a few weeks ago was pretty sweet.

2.Josh Mitchell

My highlight of 2011 in terms of football would be playing and training along the great man Robbie Fowler. To get the chance to play in the same team as a player known as ‘God’ was an amazing opportunity and to score a goal from his corner is something I will never forget.

3.Bas van den Brink

Highlight of 2011 was coming home in Holland after a disappointing trip to Korea.

4.Billy Mehmet

Teaming up with Steven McGarry. It has always been one of my dreams as Steven is a St Mirren legend.

5.Steve Pantelidis

Signing for this great club Perth Glory is easily my highlight of 2011.

6.Chris Coyne

Finally pulling on a Perth Glory shirt and playing again after the longest pre-season in the history of football.

7.Jacob Burns

The birth of my little princess Mila Burns.

8.Adam Hughes

My highlight would be seeing my three children all get a year older!

9.Shane Smeltz

Scoring my first goal for my new club Perth Glory against Melbourne heart.

10.Liam Miller

Sunday, October 9 2011, Perth Glory v Adelaide United, my debut for my new club.

11.Victor Sikora

My highlight of 2011 is that I am finally fit to train with the squad after a LONG, LONG and frustrating time on the sidelines.
My engagement with Lauren in July was also very special.

12.Scott Neville

Travelling through England, Paris and Austria before the start of pre-season was my highlight of 2011.

13.Travis Dodd

Seeing Steven McGarry and Adam Hughes get immersed in South African tradition during our pre-season camp and spitting shit.

14.Steven McGarry

Without doubt, the birth of my first child Nicole in March. She is my little angel.

15.Tommy Amphlett

The brilliant management of Stoke City boss Tony Pulis to get my boys into the FA Cup final.

16.Evan Berger

Our pre-season tour to South Africa was great, especially when our guide George took us a for a short trip to one of the most fearsome game parks to get up close to wild lions.

17.Todd Howarth

Definitely watching my old team Perth win the Football West Cup final 7-0 over my old team mate Jamie Harnwell and Sorrento.

18.Jesse Makarounas

Playing at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico was special and to score for Australia against Cote d’Ivoire in the opening group game was definitely a highlight.

19.Josh Risdon

Getting selected for a two-day national training camp with Socceroos coach Holger Osieck in October was unreal. To train with some of the country-s best players was an excellent experience.

20.Neil Young

Signing for Perth Glory and moving back to Perth. I love the weather and having my friends and family close is very important to me now after the year I had.

21.Mile Sterjovski

To be blessed with the birth of my first daughter Lilly Veronica earlier this month.

22.Adam Taggart

Moving in with big bills, Billy Mehmet

25.Trent McClenahan

My highlight for 2011 is waiting for 2012.

27.Andrezinho

Coming to Perth Glory this year has been very good and my best thing in 2011.

Getting called Lewis Hamilton in a pre-season match report!!
