Perth Glory players have gotten behind the 2010 World’s Greatest Shave as part of our ‘Glory in the Community’ programmes.

Glory superstar Adriano Pellegrino visited Hollywood Primary School where the whole school got involved by shaving and colouring their hair with proceeds going to the Leukaemia Foundation.

One student, Oliver, was extremely excited to have his football hero Pellegrino there, as he took the plunge and shaved off his locks all in the name of charity.

Perth Glory has also donated a jersey signed by Jamie Harnwell to The West Australian, who have organised a raffle to raise extra money for the cause.

A number of staff from The West’s advertising department is also getting on board by volunteering to shave and colour their tresses.

Harwell went along to the shave to present the signed shirt to the winner of the raffle.

Money raised form the World’s Greatest Shave is used by the Leukaemia Foundation to fund free services to support patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. It also funds blood cancer research to find better treatments and cures.
